Our Minister Rev. Gerald R. Hallman Minister, Mooresville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church
Jerry Hallman has been minister of the Mooresville A. R.
Presbyterian Church since 1984. A native of Rock Hill, SC, he is a graduate of
Erskine College and Erskine Seminary. He served on the ministerial staff of
Tabernacle A. R. Presbyterian Church in Charlotte and was the first mission
developer of First Presbyterian (ARP) Church in Hardeeville, SC, before his call
to Mooresville. Jerry is Stated Clerk of First Presbytery of the A. R.
Presbyterian General Synod. He is married to the former Rita Landis of
Covington, VA. Rita is also a graduate of Erskine College, attended Erskine
Seminary and holds the Masters of Education degree from Queens College in
Charlotte. She teaches Spanish at Mooresville Senior High School. The
Hallmans have two daughters: Dr. Sarah Phelps, an anesthesiologist with St.
Francis Hospital in Charleston, SC; and Mrs. Jennifer Norris, Human Resources
Director with Kiawah Development Partners, Kiawah Island, near Charleston.
